The 27th SASRO Annual Meeting will take place in Bern, 31st August to 2nd September 2023 and we are delighted to cordially invite you all to join this event.
It is an honor for us to host this SASRO Annual Meeting together with the local organizing committee as well as the scientific committee and we are pleased to prepare an exciting scientific program.
The field of radiotherapy is constantly evolving towards novel treatment techniques and combined treatment modalities which improve patient care, survival and quality of life of cancer patients. Moving from population-based to personalized cancer care becomes more and more important. In this context adaptive radiotherapy recently made tremendous progress. However, while there is huge potential to integrate the newest adaptive treatment concepts into clinical routine, there are also enormous challenges ahead of us in the coming years. This is addressed in the heading of the SASRO Conference 2023: Adaptive Radiotherapy: Facing the challenges.
Based on well-established formats from previous meetings covering invited national and international key-opinion leaders, proffered paper sessions, focused symposia and many more, these challenges can be tackled in discussions with all professions in an interdisciplinary manner. In addition, the industry will make an integrative contribution to the scientific program and broaden the view from their perspective. This setting aims to provide a flexible platform to interactively exchange experience, gain new knowledge, making new and foster existing contacts, collaborations and friendships.
Thus, we believe that an exciting and interesting program for the multidisciplinary SASRO community is ahead of us.
