We are pleased to invite you to the 23rd SASRO Annual Meeting, taking place 29 to 31 August 2019 in Lausanne.
The Local Organizing Committee and the Scientific Program Committees are pleased to propose an
exciting scientific program, which will be presented in a stimulating and interactive setting.
At SASRO 2019, we continue the tradition of previous meetings in having a strong interdisciplinary
component for clinical care, including refresher courses, distinguished lectures from national and
international experts and debates. Additionally, we will offer a renewed platform for our young
colleagues to present their promising abstracts. We are also very grateful for our industrial partners
who contribute to the success of the SASRO meetings, thanks to their generous support.
The field of oncology has never been evolving so rapidly with the irruption of immunotherapy and
molecular targeted agents. In parallel high precision RT allows an increased proportion of patients
living longer, free of tumour and with fewer side effects. In this context SASRO 2019 will offer a unique
focus on the latest advances in our field such as MRI guidance, new beams, artificial intelligence and
combinations with immunotherapy as well as critical debates of how stereotactic radiotherapy can
challenge surgery in lung, prostate and other cancers.
