Welcome to SASRO 2015

Dear colleagues and friends, dear SASRO Members, Exhibitors and Sponsors

We cordially invite and welcome you to the 19^th annual SASRO meeting, held in Basel. The Clinic of Radiotherapy and Radiation Oncology of the University Hospital Basel is proud to organize and host this annual meeting.
SASRO as a multidisciplinary organisation promotes radiation therapy through science,  education and corporation within Switzerland. In this year we have modified the program and welcome also and especially nurses, secretaries and medical practice assistants.

Our main focus of the congress has its motivation and justification from educational aspects in science and clinical care. Therefore, the heading of our congress is:

«Science and Education – professional training where SASRO and SRO meet».

Besides, the annual meeting provides a platform for discussions on actual topics in radiation therapy within a multidisciplinary environment, generating new ideas and initiating close correlation between radiation centers and industrial partners. The meeting will be conducted at the lecture area of the University Hospital in Basel, where all logistics are available and an immediate contact to all partners in front of the entrances to the lecture halls are available.

Thanks to the efforts of our local organizing committee and the executive program committee of SASRO, we aim at an interesting program. Framed in the morning by new refresher courses, small workshops on contouring and treatment planning, communication with our patients as well as acute emergency interventions in the treatment room, and a diversified program in the evenings in two well known locations in Basel, we hope for your interest, motivation and open discussions.

The meeting will be held from the 11^th - 13^th of June 2015 at the University Hospital Basel.

It is a great pleasure to host you here in Basel and we are looking forward to seeing you in active and lively discussions during your animated attendance.
